Nora sat up straighter, slowly blinking her eyes as she finally took in her surroundings. How much time had passed since she had first come up here? Time was irrelevant, but she couldn’t help but wonder. “I’ll- I’ll talk to him,” she said more to herself than to the girl sitting next to her. “I’ll have to talk to him,” she murmured again, her eyes growing distant.

Who would have ever thought that Nora Montgomery, the woman who had done anything it took to save her marriage, save her family, would be in a situation such as this one. Her wedding ring was gone, she had told her son to keep away from Charles, and it seemed that her family had practically dissolved into nothingness. She shook her head, coming back to the moment at hand. “I wouldn’t have ever been able to believe he could take a life,” she whispered, as though by speaking too loudly she might fall apart once more.

Alice nodded, agreeing that Nora should talk to her husband. She wasn’t sure what to say, knowing there was nothing she could say that would easily fix things. It was difficult, seeing someone you care about so terribly upset and knowing there was nothing you could do, especially when it was all you wanted to do.

She barely heard Nora’s whisper but she did, and completely understood. Charles just seemed so nice, even though she hardly knew him. It was frightening that someone so well trusted could snap what seemed like instantaneously. If he could kill someone, how many other people in this house could with a little influence from the house. “I don’t think anyone thought he was capable of it…”

I would love to answer any questions you might have.

It seems so quiet lately…. It’s making me a bit nervous.

Alice:Hayden

“I am sorry that was a personal question. I’m such a whore.” Hayden let out a small giggle. But Alice’s philosophy about it being her time, was genius. She would probably live a more peaceful dead life if she thought like Alice… and Nora for that matter. “You and Nora have inspired me. I want to make a reason or philiosophy like you two did. Help me think of one.”  Hayden’s spirits lifted a little bit, she looked up, and around the room searching for inspiration, she was deep in thought…

Alice smiled, shaking her head at Hayden’s words. “Don’t be sorry. I’m always willing to answer any questions.” She said kindly with a nod of her head. She honestly didn’t mind Hayden’s question, and it definitely hadn’t been the first time she’d ever been ask. “You’re a lovely person, don’t think anything else.” She added in response to Hayden calling herself a whore, smiling at the woman.

“Oh, we’re inspiring?” She blinked, surprised to hear something like that. She knew that Nora was an inspiration to some people, her included, but she never thought she inspired anyone. It was strange to her. “Oh, well, what did you live for before?” She asked after a moment, looking at the woman curiously.
